Caught-up in the Savings & Loan scandal  of the 1980’s, the once meat packing factory/warehouse layed vacant for over 13 years. The design proposal for 106 rental units within the 13-story,130,000 sf shell not only created unique open studio loft spaces and exciting two-bedroom open mezzanine areas, but implemented additional structure to the once exterior balconies, to create  “The Sky bays”.  By enclosing the existing exterior balconies, it not only added additional marketable living space, but created a monumental window perspective on three sides while creating the feel of being outside without  the noise.  

The property was later purchased by The Savanna Partnership and converted to the condominium complex known today as The Zephyr Lofts.
